Bored with your android OS?? Not to worry I have got the solution and step by step procedure to upgrade your android smartphone to its higher stable OS.manyof your smart phone ships with stock android 2.2.1 (Froyo) or anddroid 2.3.4 or 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) operating system. But, if you want your android device to run on android higher OS then there is good news for you. NOTE: This process will install the CynogenMod OS in your smartphone which doest harm your Smartphone.
To upgrade your smartphone plese follow these steps properly and download the given from the site which are mentioned below.
To begin the process let’s start with downloading all the necessary files to your personal computer. Download the files from links given below:
1. Download the suitable Cynogenmod for your smart phone from the given link http://get.cm/. Then look at the top left corner you will see TYPE and click on the stable option. Below that you will see DEVICES and select your device from the list. CM7 is the stable and i will recommend you to download this Cynogenmod for your device.
NOTE: Your device name will appear when you move your mouse cursor around it. For e.g.: If you move your cursor to the first name ie; A700 it will show the device name is Acer Ionia a700. Plese do not extract the file you downloaded. Its extension should be .zip
2. Download clockwork mod recovery for your phone OR just download ROM manager from the play store to your device.
3. Download latest version of Google Apps (aka. gapps) from http://goo-inside.me/gapps/. You can flash this latest (at the time of writing) universal gapps if you have cyanogen mod 7. It is called universal since it is DPI and architecture-independent, and thus can be flashed on all android smartphones.
Now perform the following steps to upgrade successfully:
· Install the ROM manager you downloaded in the previous step.
· Connect your phone via USB and transfer downloaded Cynogenmod to your device and Copy the download http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ file to your sd-card.
· Please switch off your device.
· Reboot your device to recovery mode (Just press your HOME BUTTON +POWER BUTTON at same time)
· Move up and down with the help of volume key and select with the Home Key.
· Select install zip from sd
· Select choose zip from sd card
· Select the cynogenmod.zip you downloaded
· Go back to the main menu
· Select wipe data/reset
· Select wipe cache partition.
-Go to Mounts and Storage menu and choose mount /system and mount /data options.- Now, go to Install Zip From SD>>ChooseZip From SD Card>> and select the gapps-gb.zip file you downloaded earlier.
- Wait till the Google apps are installed.- Once Google Apps are successfully flashed now select reboot system now
Your device will restart and will show a black screen and written ANDROID . Wait for some time and now your device will be upgraded to the higher OS of Cynogenmod. Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
