Just 2 days from launch at Google’s I/O event (June 27th), the Google Nexus 7 tablet’s internaldocuments get leaked. The tablet is all you could have hoped for and is coming soon at a price for everybody! The Nexus 7 is being made by ASUS. The company was on google’s radar ever since they introduced the stunning Transformer lineup at amazing prices. Google seems to have made the right choice as not only has their budget target been met, but the tablet is no slacker with a WXGA IPS display and a powerful quad-corenVidia Tegra 3 chipset, codename Kai. Also in the tow is Google’s latest and greatest Android Jelly Bean. Now Jelly Bean might be a minor upgrade at Android 4.1 or it might be the next major Android upgrade at Android 5.0. But we place our bets on the former. Ladies and Gentlemen, have a look at it’srenders:
Lets have a look at the specifications:
The pricing is $199 for the 8 GB version and $249 for the 16 GB version. I think there might be a MicroSD slot, making the $199 version the best choice to go for in terms of value.
Another rumor is that Google themselves will be updating the device with software upgrades, which can be nothing but good news.
Now for all we know, this might turn out to be a fake. But the documents seem pretty legit, inline with all the expectations that we had with the device. Let’s just hope it delivers. We’ll find out soon enough at the Google I/O event on the 27th of June, which runs uptill the 29th at San Francisco. We will be covering all the key announcements made there so stay tuned for more.
